Vandalism at Makiki Park cancels Makiki Mele Kalikimaka

MAKIKI — The Makiki District Park staff has regretfully announced that its holiday event, Makiki Mele Kalikimaka, a community Christmas celebration, scheduled for this Saturday, December 3, has been canceled.  Recent vandalism to the park, located at 1527 Keeaumoku Street, has affected the major electrical infrastructure to the facilities.

The district park’s recreation staff expressed disappointment for the cancellation and regrets any inconvenience to residents, but looks forward to hosting this event next year.
