Kumu Kahua Theatre to hold auditions for “Folks You Meet at Longs”
DOWNTOWN — Director Jason Kanda is seeking an ensemble of actors to play a number of different characters for Kumu Kahua Theatre’s summer revival of Lee Cataluna’s Folks You Meet At Longs opening in late July 2011. Actors should be familiar with Hawaiian Creole English/Pidgin. Adults of all ages are encouraged to come. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, some improvisation, and some simple movement work. Auditioners should come early and stay for the whole time. Scripts are available for loan with a $10 cash deposit at KKT.
Auditions will be held at the Kumu Kahua Theatre, corner of Merchant and Bethel Streets, 6pm-9pm Saturday, May 21 and noon to 3pm Sunday, May 22. Call 536-4222 for more information.
