Kipapa i ke Ala Lecture hosts a conversation with AOL founder Steve Case

America Online, Inc. co-founder Steve Case will be speaking at the 21st Kipapa i ke Ala Lecture on Monday, November 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Ala Moana Hotel.

In 2005, Case launched Revolution, a company that seeks to drive transformative change by shifting power to consumers. Revolution’s mission is to partner with entrepreneurs in “building businesses that give people more choice, control, and convenience in important areas of their lives.”

Prior to starting Revolution, Case was the chair and CEO of America Online, Inc., and later, the Chairman of AOL Time Warner. As the co-founder of AOL, Case played an integral role in building the world’s largest Internet company and helped transform how people communicate, learn and conduct business.

Case is also a major investor in two Hawaii businesses—Grove Farm of Kauai and Maui Land and Pineapple. Born and raised in Hawaii., Case graduated from Punahou School in 1976 and Williams College in Massachusetts in 1980.

The Kipapa i ke Ala lectures are sponsored by the Emmett R. Quady Foundation and Kamakura Corporation, and coordinated by PACE. The lecture series was created in 2001 to help Hawaii residents understand how the state may benefit from the fast-paced changes in the worldwide marketplace.
