The University of Hawaii Academy for Creative Media will host a film screening and panel discussion featuring the documentary State of Aloha on Wednesday, October 27. As an examination of Hawaii’s path to statehood and its legacy, the film includes dozens of insightful interviews of individuals with unique perspectives on what statehood means for Hawaii and its residents today.
The panel discussion to follow the film will be moderated my associate law professor Melody Kapilialoha MacKenzie and include former Gov. John Waihee.
