Furlough Fridays are finally finished, thanks to a revised plan that uses $57 million from the Hurricane Relief Fund and a $10 million line of credit from Bank of Hawaii.

For more information, see Governor Lingle’s press release here, and coverage in the Honolulu Advertiser here.

Meanwhile, parents from Save Our Schools Hawaii, the organization which led last month’s sit-in in the Governor’s office, has said via Twitter that some of them will be joining a new non-profit, Parents for Public Schools. The new group will be meeting tomorrow evening, 6 pm, at state capitol room 325.
