Juliana Simone, owner of Sunset Homes, will be moving ahead with plans to develop the three-story commercial building located on a lot behind her real estate firm in Haleiwa, Pacific Business News reported. The realtor bought the 7,299-square-foot lot seven years ago intending to develop it into Anahulu Centre.

The Haleiwa business owner said she obtained the required permits to construct the building three years ago, but her architect failed to apply for an extension and the permits expired in 2009. There is currently no estimated time for when construction will begin.

Anahulu Centre will have ground floor parking, and approximately 4,000 square feet of space on the two upper levels. The new building is designed to match the existing building and has and estimated cost of around $2 million to construct.
