Sunset Beach Elementary seeks School Community Council nominations

Sunset Beach Elementary School’s School Community Council (SCC) is holding nominations for the 2011- 2012 school year. The close-knit school, located across from Ehukai Beach Park and Pipeline, are looking for nominations for one parent representative, one parent alternate, one community representative, and one community alternate. Each position is for two year terms.

The SCC is known to provide a major part of leadership at Sunset Beach Elementary School. Members of the SCC are elected by their peers, and advise the principal on issues that impact both student achievement and improvements on the school as a whole. Council members help ensure that the needs of all students are addressed in the overall education plan for the school.

If you are interested in a position or know someone who is, nomination forms are available in the school office and are due by Thursday, March 10.
