Background

Stories pertaining to the science or practice of farming, including the cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food and other products. In particular, this collection focuses on the changing nature of agriculture as our society continues to automate and populations expand, food security and food sovereignty here in the Hawaiian archipelago, work addressing food deserts, working on the land as part of cultural resurgence and attempts to diversify our agricultural output to help create an export economy and make our society more sustainable.
