Tsunami warning issued for Hawaii, Pacific

HONOLULU—A tsunami warning is in effect for Hawaii and the greater Pacific region. A large earthquake in Chile last night triggered tsunami waves which are expected to impact Hawaiian shores at 11:19 am this morning.

According to media reports, civil defense departments throughout Hawaii are expected to sound warning sirens around 6:00 am.
