State automated phone directory makes it easier to compliment your local officials

HONOLULU—Last week, the State launched an automated telephone directory system that’s supposed to make it easier for callers to reach a State or county office.

The centralized system provides callers with options to connect directly to the governor’s and lieutenant governor’s offices, the Legislature, State departments, the University of Hawaii, and county offices.

The State telephone directory phone number is 586-2211 on Oahu or toll-free on the neighbor islands at 974-4000 ext. 62211#.

Contact information for State and county offices is also listed on the State’s website www.hawaii.gov as well as in the phone book.
