Slight drop in Oahu inflation
Consumer goods and services are to blame for a drop in inflation for the first six months of 2013.
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics said today that the Consumer Price Index rose 1.8 percent compared to last year; however, it was down 2 percent from the second half of 2012. Prices on food, beverages, medical care, electricity, and costs of shelter increased, while prices on gasoline and apparel fell.
