This Saturday, when you’re done casting your ballot, stop by Ala Moana Center Stage to see the action of “Make and Bake,” a fundraising program that fills wallets and bellies.

The “Make and Bake” challenge involves an original pupu or dessert recipe contest structure building contest using Diamond Bakery crackers. The contests’ 10 finalists will compete for $3,000 in cash prizes and more.

The two-part contest and judging takes place on Saturday, September 18 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Ala Moana Center Stage.

Diamond Bakery collaborated with Aloha United Way and developed “Make and Bake” to incorporate community fundraising into a creative and fun consumer contest as well as provide an easy way for people to give to a charitable cause. Diamond Bakery is donating profits from 3-months of cracker sales to Aloha United Way and is presenting a check during the event.
