Tyler Clementi, an 18-year-old freshman and an accomplished violinist at Rutgers University, apparently committed suicide after his roommate had broadcasted a recording of him engaged in a private sexual encounter caught on webcam. The roommate, Dharun Ravi, 18, was charged with two additional counts of invasion of privacy for trying a similar live feed on the Internet on September 21, the day before Clementi’s suicide. New York Times reports.
