Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii in 2011, retains controversy
The NFL announced Tuesday that the 2011 Pro Bowl would be played in Hawaii but would remain on the Sunday night before the Super Bowl. The league cited TV ratings from this year’s Pro Bowl game in Miami as the reason for keeping the game the week before the Super Bowl (as opposed to the week after, when it used to be played), and in its official release the league said the move “was discussed last week with the NFL Players Association and a group of players during a meeting with the Competition Committee in Indianapolis.” Dan Graziano of NFL.FanHouse.com reports.
