Parrot ‘arrested’ for tipping off a drug cartel in Columbia

In the Colombian city of Barranquilla, a parrot has been “arrested” for allegedly tipping off members of a local drug cartel during a police raid, Reuters reports. Apparently thousands of parrots in Columbia have been trained by people in the illegal drug trade to warn criminals of police by shouting at them in perfect Spanish to run.
