Organics symposium at UH College of Tropical Agriculture

MANOA — The University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR), with a handful of advocacy groups for organic farming in Hawaii, present the 2011 Organic Symposium, a conference on organic agriculture in Hawaii.

Presentations will be made by a handful of organic industry leaders and innovators, including civil and social activist Puanani Burgess. Also speaking will be CTAHR Interim Dean Sylvia Yuen and Hawaii State Department of Agriculture Director Russell Kokubun. A “visioning session” will be held to discuss the future of the organics industry in Hawaii.
