Molokai flood advisory cancelled

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has cancelled the Flood Advisory for the Island of Molokai.

EFFECTS: The Flood Advisory will expire at 10:45 p.m. for the island of Molokai.

Weather radar and rain gages showed that the heavy rains have weakened and moved offshore, thus the Flood Advisory is allowed to expire.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: THE PUBLIC SHOULD REMAIN CAUTIOUS AND ALERT FOR ANY POSSIBLE FLOODING CONDITIONS. DON’T TRY TO CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS OR FAST FLOWING STREAMS IN YOUR VEHICLE OR ON FOOT. IT MAY BE TOO DANGEROUS. TURN AROUND…DON’T DROWN.

INFORMATION: This will be the last Maui County Civil Defense notification on this event.
