Hawaii Independent Staff

The eagerly awaited Spring Plant Sale at Foster Garden is back this weekend in Downtown Honolulu. It’s the only plant sale on Oahu held in a world famous botanical garden.

Admission to the garden is free during the sale featuring native Hawaiian plants and ferns, including young hapuu (seldom available), terrariums, lotus, air plants, orchids, heliconia, gingers (including Dancing Girl gingers), drought-tolerant succulents for sun and filtered light, plants suitable for apartment living, loose and mounted tillandsias & bromeliads, ti plants, anthurium (over 20 varieties, some new and recent introductions), assorted unusual plants not found in garden shops, as well as worms, worm bins and vermicast.

The event is presented by Friends of Honolulu Botanical Gardens and co-sponsored by the City and County of Honolulu.
