Korean-American student art at Honolulu Hale in June

HONOLULU — More than 100 original paintings and drawings by Korean-American students from grades K to 12 will be on display at the 20th annual Korean Children’s Art Exhibit in the Courtyard of Honolulu Hale (City Hall) from June 28 to July 8, 2011.

Presented by the Korean Artists Association of Hawaii, the exhibit is part of their efforts to pave the road for future artists.  The Korean Artists Association of Hawaii was established in 1986.  The organization holds an annual exhibition to introduce Korean artists to the local community.  Members of the organization have been recognized both nationally and internationally.

The exhibit is supported by the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts.  Exhibit viewing is free and open to the public, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  For more information, call the Korean Artists Association of Hawaii at 808-389-2216.
