Improv comedy every Tuesday at The Venue

In Yo Face Improv (IYFI) veterans Chris Riel and Shawn Thomsen host a weekly improv comedy performance at The Venue, the performance space at Bambu Two on Bethel Street on Tuesdays. The night features what are known as short form games—simple ways of getting people to think on their feet, similar to those featured on Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Riel, Thomsen, and other experienced improvisers will then switch to a long-form piece, essentially an improvised one-act play. Audience are then invited onstage to participate in some short form games. The evening concludes with an open mic opportunity for comedy, music, poetry, and the like.
