New York Times features homeless evictions in Kakaako

On Monday, the New York Times ran a feature article on the eviction of the homeless living on Ilalo Street in Kakaako, which will see over 75 tents and other structures removed. The author interviewed some of the homeless living there, homeless advocates, and an official from the Hawaii Community Development Authority, which oversees the area and has ordered the evictions. The HCDA has plans to redevelop the area.
