Liliha Nuuanu Candlelight Tour embarks across historic sites

The Fifth Annual Liliha-Nuuanu Candlelight Tour takes place Friday, February 11. The trolley-ride tour begins at the Community Church of Honolulu, at the top of Nuuanu Avenue. Organized by State Rep. Corinne Ching, the tour celebrates the unique, multicultural heritage of the Nuuanu-Liliha area, which is home to a large number of historic homes, churches, temples, and cemeteries.

Ching has long supported the historical aspects of her district, leading efforts toward revitalization and positioning Liliha as a tourist destination. She also created the popular I Love Liliha Festival, which takes place annually at Kawananakoa Middle School.
