The Deadbeats formed midway through 2007 and are pretty much true to their name. They drink and jam and beg for change. With a charismatic, neighborly optimistic approach on life combined with Jazzy-hip-hopy-funky-rocky-super-dopetronical beats and charmingly lucid lyrics the Deadbeats will be the last to take themselves seriously, but seriously take you. The Deadbeats headline free First Friday concert at Nextdoor

Nextdoor in Chinatown is throwing a First Friday bash that stands out for two reasons. One, The Deadbeats are performing, and, two, they’re playing with no cover charge. The party starts at 7:00 p.m., with $3 drink specials going on until 9:00 p.m. and DJ Jami and DJ Compose will be spinning the music into the small hours.

With the 7:00 start time, Nextdoor’s event offers a fine reason to get to Chinatown early and take in some of the galleries and grubberies.
