November 7: Henry Kapono headlines ‘Waikiki Tiki’ launch party at Duke’s Canoe Club

Longtime local radio personality Phil Roberts is now also a published author with the release of his new book Waikiki Tiki: Art, History and Photographs. There will be a book launch party at Duke’s Canoe Club in Waikiki on Sunday, November 7. The party will be followed by Henry Kapono’s performance on the pool deck. Kapono provides the book’s introduction.

Released by local publishing house Bess Press, Waikiki Tiki traces the colorful history of the tiki phenomenon and the people who helped create the idiom.
