November 24: Mercury Bar hosts Pacific Roller Derby party with indie darling Jess Penner

Mercury Bar on Chaplain Lane in Chinatown, in collaboration with ladies of Pacific Roller Derby and Black Cat Tattoo, are throwing a roller derby themed party on Wednesday. The evening will feature a screening of the movie “Whip It” and a performance by indie darling Jess Penner. DJ Otto and DJ Fuzz will be cranking out dance hits from the 70s and 80s.

Black Cat Tattoo is sponsoring a dance-off, with a grand prize of a $100 gift certificate for anything at their nearby shop. There will also be an all-female arm wrestling tournament with a $5 entry fee. The winning arm will win the pot.
