The Liliha/Puunui/Alewa Neighborhood Board’s September meeting minutes have been made available here. Representatives from the Honolulu Police Department, the Honolulu Fire Department, the Board of Water Supply, acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s office and Senator Suzanne Chun Oakland were in attendance.

August statistics provided by HFD included four structure fires and 70 medical emergencies. HPD statistics for August included 13 burglaries and 92 motor vehicle accidents.

HPD’s Major William Chur noted that officers have been instructed to strictly enforce the new law restricting mobile phone usage while driving. He also noted that HPD has increased patrols in the area due to a high number of house break-ins. The district has had the highest number of such incidents in the past four months.
