The Downtown Neighborhood Board met on Thursday, September 2 and the minutes for the meeting have been made available here. Five of nine members were present, the minimum number of members needed for a quorum and for official Board action.

Representatives from the Honolulu Police Department and Honolulu Fire Department were present to give response statistics for the month of August. HFD reported among other responses three structure fires and 97 medical emergencies. HPD reported 78 motor vehicle collisions, eight sex assaults, and 11 DUI offenses.

A Multi-Hazard Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan was discussed by representatives of the City Department of Emergency Management. The City must have such a plan in place in order to receive FEMA funding following a disaster.
