The Associated Press reports that Hawaii Venture Capital Association’s president Bill Spencer on Thursday said the State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs should not have registered the Venture Capital Association of Hawaii, which said it endorsed Mufi Hannemann months after the much larger and established Hawaii Venture Capital Association endorsed Neil Abercrombie for governor. Confusing right? That was the point, according to Spencer who pointed out that Venture Capital Association of Hawaii is linked to Stanford Carr, a top supporter of Hannemann.
