Fake But Accurate? Dan Rather-style journalism excused for animal documentaries

Newsbusters has an interesting piece on the journalism ethics of mainstream TV news. The story looks at the revelation that a Nightline segment used falsifying scenes of animals in the wild in order to promote conservation and the reporter’s reasoning for going along with the practice.
