HONOLULU – On August 6th doctors at the Queen’s Medical Center performed an endoscopy and cauterized a blood vessel in former Governor Ben Cayetano’s stomach and found no further problems.

After monitoring the former Governor’s progress, doctors released him at 5 p.m. today and he is expected to fully recover.

“We are extremely thankful to everyone who has sent us their well-wishes for a speedy recovery for Ben,” said Vicky Cayetano. “We are pleased with the news of his release as he will feel much better resting in the comfort of his own home as he prepares for this Saturday’s primary election.”
