Bishop Street lane closures between Hotel Street, S. King Street, and Merchant Street

Hawaii Independent Staff

HONOLULU—Two right lanes on Bishop Street will be closed 24-hours, eight consecutive days starting Monday, October 18 through Monday, October 25 due to roadway construction work. A project is constructing a concrete bus pad at the Bishop Street bus stop fronting the Financial Plaza of the Pacific.

Bishop Street traffic lanes will be temporarily adjusted on the approach to South King Street intersection, and motorists are advised to use caution in this area.

During the closure, motorists are encouraged to avoid Bishop Street if possible. Motorists who normally use Bishop Street to access the Davies Pacific Center or Pacific Guardian Center are encouraged to take alternative routes. Nuuanu Avenue is one suggested alternative.

Bus patrons normally using the Bishop Street bus stop just makai of S. King Street are asked to use a temporary bus stop on Bishop Street located makai of Hotel Street, adjacent to the Executive Centre. For more bus information visit www.thebus.org or call (808) 848-5555.
