Hawaii Independent Staff

Mozambique remains one of the most underdeveloped countries in the world. The country has been ravaged by civil war, poverty, famine, and disease. Recent figures from Mozambiqueorphans.org show 16 percent of all Mozambican children are orphans.

Downtown Honolulu’s PYNK is hosting a fundraising event for Love for Mozambique on Friday, August 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event, located at 40 N. Hotel St., will include live music, Zumba dancing, an African drum circle, and a boutique sale.
