Army asks Waianae residents for help in marine impact study

In order to determine how military activities will affect local marine life, Army officials are asking Waianae residents for their input on what marine species they find offshore.

In June, the Army was ordered to conduct a study on how live-fire training in Makua valley may affect residents and the ocean. From now until the 31st, community members can complete a survey online, by phone, or through hard copy which can be found at the Waianae Public Library or Waianae Small Boat Harbor.
