Afghanistan bomb attacks kill 21 U.S. soldiers in 48 hours

A series of bomb attacks have badly hit U.S. troops in eastern and southern Afghanistan in the past 48 hours—21 American troops have been killed in Afghanistan since Friday in one of the bloodiest periods of the summer.
