Actors wanted for ‘A Jive Bomber’s Christmas’ at Kumu Kahua Theatre
In Saachiko and Dom Magwili’s A Jive Bomber’s Christmas, Christmas comes even to a World War II internment camp. Through song, dance and laughter, a group of Japanese American internees finds hope and joy when they need it most.
Here’s your chance to be a part of the show at Kumu Kahua Theatre.
Director Stephanie Conching is seeking 12 actors and actresses. Auditions will be held at Kumu Kahua Theatre, 46 Merchant Street, on Saturday, August 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The entrance into the theatre faces a park on Merchant Street. Rehearsals begin as early as Monday, September 4. Performances will be from November 10 through December 11, with the possibility of a week’s extension.
