Ska genius Chris Murray ready to skank on a Hawaii mini-tour

Jamie Winpenny

Chris Murray has gained worldwide acclaim as a ska music genius. He has performed internationally for many years, and he continues to pen authentic, rootsy songs that honor the earliest traditions of the genre. It’s been several years since his last Hawaii mini-tour, so there are many fans here looking forward to seeing him live again. They’ll have three chances to see the Chris Murray Combo, as he is joined by his current bass player and Go Jimmy Go drummer Shon Gregory.

Chris Murray plays with Black Square and Go Jimmy Go at The Shack Waikiki on Thursday. Murray plays Anna’s on Friday with Black Square, and on Saturday at Breakers in Haleiwa with Upstanding Youth.
