20th annual Pride Parade & Festival events kick off this week

HONOLULU—The Honolulu Pride Festival Foundation Presents The 20th annual Pride Parade & Festival featuring The 25th annual Triple M Contest, a competition for the title of the 2010 Mr., Miss, and Ms. Gay Pride.

The Triple M Contest kicks off at 6:00 p.m. at Fusion Waikiki, 2260 Kuhio Avenue, on Thursday, June 17.

“A Night Under the Stars” Ohana BBQ takes place on the front lawn of the Honolulu Zoo on Friday, June 18 at 4:00 p.m.; $10.00 donation. Also featured is a miniture golf tournament, entertainment, and more.

The 20th Annual Pride Parade & Festival happens on Saturday, June 19. The parade begins at Magic Island at 9:00 a.m. and makes its way to Kapiolani Park where the festival events will take place at the McCoy Pavilion with special guests Mento Mele from Island 98.5 along with the Ladies of the 80s Expose from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and a chance to win concert tickets. Festivities include food, entertainment, drinks, prizes, vendors, as well as a kids and young adults area.

All Vendor Booths have been sold with over 30 units who are participating in this year’s 20th Annual Pride Parade.
