January 12: Free education forum on rheumatoid arthritis

KAHALA—State Rep. Barbara Marumoto, in collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation, will hold a free education forum on rheumatoid arthritis Wednesday, January 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kahala Nui, 4389 Malia Street. 

Lunch is provided but attendees must RSVP by January 7. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Featured panelists include David John, MD., Rheumatologist from the Queen’s Medical Center; Leslie Mukogawa, DPT, Physical Therapist from the Queen’s Medical Center; and Clint Evans a Certified Arthritis Foundation Instructor. The participants will learn what treatment options are available for rheumatoid arthritis and what are the best exercises for joint protection.  Everyone should come ready to learn new exercises.
