North Shore Neighborhood Board to discuss Kamehameha Schools Park Land Acquisition Plan

The North Shore Neighborhood Board will be holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 23 at the John Kalili Surf Center at Alii Beach Park.

On the agenda for the meeting are the City monthly reports from the Honolulu Police Department, the Honolulu Fire Department, Mayor Peter Carlisle’s Representative Jim Fulton, the Board of Water Supply, and Councilmember Reed Matsuura.

Various committees will also report on transportation (Gil Riviere), flood/emergency/waterway (Jacob Ng), disaster preparedness (Antya Miller), “homelessness” (Kathleen Pahinui), and agriculture (Jackie Leinau).

Board business includes the Kamehameha Schools Park Land Acquisition Plan with Kalani Fronda and the Water Alert System USGS with Ed Teixiera from State Civil Defense. Community members will have the opportunity to comment with a limit of three minutes.

The board will be on recess for the month of December and will not meet until January 2011.
