Blog: Adam Lambert simply rocks at the Blaisdell

If you had told me five years ago I would ever see an American Idol contestant in concert I would have laughed in your face. But Adam Lambert, the season 8 runner up, simply rocked the Blaisdell Concert Hall Monday night with his wacky blend of retro glamour, goth, and rock-infused pop.

The audience was not all star-struck teenagers, as I might have predicted (though they were definitely present) but rather a diverse mix of excited fans who were there to see a spectacle of show in a classical venue, complete with fantastic costumes, dynamic choreography, and Lambert’s signature range of astonishing vocals.
