October 19: Nanakuli/Maili Neighborhood Board to send letter to DOH regarding PVT landfill
The Nanakuli/Maili Neighborhood Board is set to meet next week, Tuesday, October 19 for its monthly meeting. Speakers representing the Kapolei-based Malama Learning Center will introduce their latest project. Also Mike Klein of the Hawaii Intergenerational Community Development Association (HICDA) will be in attendance to make a presentation and take on any questions from community members.
The board is also preparing a letter requesting the Department of Health to give the community an update on a previous meeting discussing the PVT Landfill Draft Solid Waste Management and Modification Permit.
