Kahuku Red Raider wrestling girls win first place in tournament

The girls at Kahuku High School put on a great showing in Hawaii wrestling.

The Kahuku High girl’s wrestling team won first place out of 15 participating schools at the 2010 Maui Invitational Wrestling Tournament. The tournament took place at the War Memorial Gym in Wailuku, Maui on December 21 to 22.

Chale Chee, Samantha Shipley, Aarica Barcina, Kelsea Cass, Kristy Rabaino, Anela Santiago, Joreece Peapealalo, and Libby Petrie together helped the team score 110 points.

Other team standings include: Mililani 92, Lahainaluna 86, Molokai 84, Pac-5 74, Maui High 49, Baldwin 46, Kamehameha Maui 45, Iolani 42, Lanai 35, St. Thomas More (British Columbia) 33, Kailua 25, Kamehameha Hawaii 21.5, Konawaena 16, and King Kekaulike 6.
