Verbatim: Closing Kamiloiki, Queen Liliuokalani schools comes at what cost to our keiki?
Above: Kamiloiki Elementary School is located on a hill above Kamiloiki Valley, in the heart of Hawaii Kai. It is on the south eastern side of the island of Oahu. Kamiloiki, which means "the little milo tree", opened in 1970 and has a population of close to 400. The symbol of Kamiloiki School is a tri-leaved branch of the Milo tree with a flower in the center. Below: The mural of Queen Liliuokalani is a visible landmark from the street and was a student project to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the school's dedication.
