HONOLULU -- With election season heating up, and the absentee voting for the primaries already in progress, Oahu residents are proudly displaying their favorite candidates' signs on their lawns and fences. In fact, many homes have become veritable signage galleries, demonstrating varying levels of curatorial logic. Driving around town, I've noticed some strange configurations, as evidenced below. Can anyone shed some light on this strange phenomenon?

Perfect weather for 963 swimmers in Waikiki Roughwater Swim

HONOLULU -- A total of 965 swimmers took to the ocean off Waikiki Beach yesterday at the 41st Annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim in Hawaii, representing 22 U.S. states and eight countries including athletes from Japan, Canada, Italy, and Great Britain. With so many competitors, the race took off in four separate waves of starters. It was one of the fastest years in the event's history but no records were broken. Only two swimmers did not finish.

Comment: Obama is the establishment

Isn't it interesting hearing someone talk about powerful interests in Washington at a Laborfest? I understand that the hypocrisy is common among politicians trying to act like outsiders, but I think the anti-establishment card has been played out by President Barack Obama and the Democrats.
