February 10: Honolulu Rail Transit Project update

The city invites the public to attend an update on the Honolulu Rail Transit Project on Wednesday, February 10 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hawaii State Capitol auditorium.

Titled “Jobs, The Economy, And Our Island’s Future,” the update will include a presentation and a question-and-answer session with Mayor Mufi Hannemann and a panel featuring economist Paul Brewbaker; U.S. Sen. Dan Inouye’s Chief of Staff Jennifer Goto-Sabas; First Hawaiian Bank board chairman and Hawaii Business Roundtable executive committee member Don Horner; and American Institute of Architects member Shaun Ushijima.

The event is free but seating is limited. RSVP by Tuesday, February 9 to pgaison@honolulu.gov or (808) 768-6136.

Ample parking for the event is available at the Alapai Transit Center at South King and Alapai streets. Parking is also available at Alii Place (1099 Alakea Street).
